1969 Truex & Carpenter Human Neuroanat. (ed. 6) xix. 494/2The connections of the hypothalamus with the posterior lobe of the hypophysis are well established for man... A smaller bundle , the tuberohypophysial tract, is contributed by the medial cells of the tuber cinereum. [ of nerve fibres]
1962 J. Szentágothai in J. Szentágothai et al. Hypothalamic Control of Anterior Pituitary ii. 45This system corresponds to the tubero-hypophyseal tract of Spatz (1951) and Nowakowski (1951). Since it terminates in the median eminence and in the proximal part of the stalk, it would be better to term it tubero-infundibular tract.
1980 Gray's Anat. (ed. 36) 966/1The tuber cinereum around the base of the infundibulum is raised to form a median eminence which..is superficially marked by a shallow tubero-infundibular sulcus.
