词源
from or suggested by Greek -graphikos, from graphē 'writing, drawing'; partly from -GRAPHY or -GRAPH+-IC.
-graphic|ˈgræfɪk|the ending of the adjs. correlative in sense with the ns. in -graph, -grapher, -graphy, represents Gr. -γραϕικός, which occurs in a few words derived from adjs. or ns. in -γράϕος (see -graph), some of which have been anglicized, as ἱστοριογραϕικός historiographic. Any of the Eng. adjs. in -graphic might conceivably have been formed on an assumed Gr. type, but it is probable that they have been mostly formed with suffix -ic directly on Eng. ns. in -graphy (or less frequently -graph). The prevailing sense is ‘of or pertaining to ― graphy’.
-graphic /ˈgrafɪk/ suffix.
ORIGIN: Partly from or after Greek graphikos, (see graphic adjective), partly from nouns in -graph(y) + -ic.
Forming adjectives (usu. corresp. to nouns in -graph, -graphy) with the sense ‘of or pertaining to or by a style or method of writing, drawing, recording, etc.’, as calligraphic, photographic, etc.; with the sense ‘of or pertaining to the writing of or about (something denoted by the first element)’, as hagiographic, historiographic; with the sense ‘of or pertaining to a descriptive science or method of instrumental recording’, as geographic, bibliographic, radiographic, etc.
